چکیده

We investigate the effect of edge states on the transport properties of pentacene–graphene nanojunctions on the basis of DFT and NEGF formalism. The calculations reveal that strong interaction between pentacene and zigzag GNR leads to edge-induced transmission channels at the Fermi region which controls the low-bias current. Effects of substitution by electron withdrawing and donating groups on the transport properties of molecular pentacene have also been discussed, some of which show spin resolved transport properties with negative differential resistance behavior which may have potential application in spin-

Spin-polarized transport through a zigzag-edge graphene flake embedded between two armchair nanoribbons electrodes

We study the coherent spin-polarized transport through a zigzag-edge graphene flake (ZGF), using Hubbard model in the nearest neighbor approximation within the framework of the Green function’s technique and Landauer formalism. The system considered consists of electrode/ (ZGF)/electrode, in which the electrodes are chosen to be armchair nanoribbons. The study was performed for two types of ele...

Edge contact dependent spin transport for n-type doping zigzag-graphene with asymmetric edge hydrogenation

Spin transport features of the n-type doping zigzag graphene nanoribbons (ZGNRs) with an edge contact are investigated by first principle methods, where ZGNRs are C-H2 bonded at one edge while C-H bonded at the other to form an asymmetric edge hydrogenation. The results show that a perfect spin filtering effect (100%) in such ZGNR nanojunctions can be achieved in a very large bias region for th...

Current transport across the pentacene/CVD-grown graphene interface for diode applications.

We investigate the electronic transport properties across the pentacene/graphene interface. Current transport across the pentacene/graphene interface is found to be strikingly different from transport across pentacene/HOPG and pentacene/Cu interfaces. At low voltages, diodes using graphene as a bottom electrode display Poole–Frenkel emission, while diodes with HOPG and Cu electrodes are dominat...

Electronic Transmission Wave Function of Disordered Graphene by Direct Method and Green's Function Method

We describe how to obtain electronic transport properties of disordered graphene, including the tight binding model and nearest neighbor hopping. We present a new method for computing, electronic transport wave function and Greens function of the disordered Graphene. In this method, based on the small rectangular approximation, break up the potential barriers in to small parts. Then using the f...

Quantum current modelling on tri-layer graphene nanoribbons in limit degenerate and non-degenerate

Graphene is determined by a wonderful carrier transport property and high sensitivityat the surface of a single molecule, making them great as resources used in Nano electronic use.TGN is modeled in form of three honeycomb lattices with pairs of in-equivalent sites as {A1, B1},{A2, B2}, and {A3, B3} which are located in the top, center and bottom layers, respectively. Trilayer...
